Letter to a Photographer in Steinbecks Hand 1-1963
Letter dated January 10, 1963, sent to John Steinbeck by Editta Sherman asking if she could do a photograph study of Mr. Steinbeck similar to what she did for Carl Sandburg. John Steinbeck hand writes his response on bottom to his secretary. Janet: Please tell her that I have gone to work and also have retired for the time being from the picture rachet until I can grow some new skin burned off from the flash bulbs. It is a wonderful picture of Carl though. This also includes Editta Shermans January 14th 1963 response of disappointment and says that he may keep the photo of Carl as a gift.
