Letter with Interesting Content by the Chassid Gaon Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman Av Beit Din of Safed, a Leading Shtefansht Chassid - Safed, 1923

"לברר לפני כת"ר את צדקת הוועד נגדו" Letter on official letterhead, handwritten and signed by the Rav of Safed the Chassid Gaon Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman - Safed, 1923 -polemic.

The letter is addressed to the religious committee of Eretz Yisrael. In it, an interesting story about an honorable, wealthy Rav (whose name is mentioned) who wants to enjoy the funds of the Chalukah and slanders the management of the yeshiva when it does not satisfy his whims.

Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Leib Zilberman (1889-1948) the Chief Rabbi of Safed for thirty years. The garndson of Rabbi Raphael Zilberman who served as the Chief Rabbi of the Ashkenazic communitynof Safed. Rabbi Zilberman succeeded the dynsty of rabbis of the Zilberman family and served as a Shali'ach of the Admorim of Boyan for lighting the bonfire on the roof of Rashbi's gravesite on Lag BaOmer.
