The complete portfolio, comprising 29 lithographs, 26 printed in colors, plus two printed in black for the suite covers, 1963, with title and text by René Char, signed in pencil by the artist and author on the colophon and stamped 'Exemplaire nominatif imprimé spécialement pour Monsieur Louis Broder', one of seven dedicated copies aside from the total edition of 200, also signed in pencil by the artist on each suite cover, on Rives wove paper, with the two additional suites of 27 lithographs on japon nacre and japon misumi, respectively, printed by Mourlot, published by Edwin Engelberts, Geneva, contained in the original parchment-covered box; together with three lithographs, two printed in colors, and the title printed on one sheet of Rives wove paper, with the blindstamp of the publisher; and the poster for the exhibition Georges Braque-René Char at the Bibliothèque littéraire Jacques Doucet (89 prints)

Condition Report:
The prints are in good condition and the sheets are full. Most with faint discoloration, primarily at the sheet edges and an occasional minor handling crease or small, inconspicuous fox mark. The first plate of the suite on japon misumi with diagonal creases in the corners. The prints in the book and the covers of the suites with faint offprinting and the case with an occasional minor scuff. The poster with the folds (as issued).
