⁂ Rare, we can trace only one other copy of this edition at auction and only one copy of the first edition. Judith Montefiore travelled frequently and extensively with her husband, Moses Montefiore, and was the author of the first Jewish cookbook in English, The Jewish Manual, published in 1846.
