Libethenite Katanga (Shaba) Democratic Republic of the Congo This matrix plate specimen exhibits large crystals for the locality. This Libethenite example has amazingly well-formed lustrous crystals on a matrix of Pseudomalachite. The crystals exhibit a dark coloration with sharp faces, which is then covered in a thin green coating. The orthorhombic crystals are dazzling, and there is a collection label of "TI G 1326" on the side.
