Light yellow silk bedspread composed of two bands - Bedspread - 210 cm - 257 cm

Splendid light yellow Italian silk bedspread as a background, entirely hand embroidered ton sur ton with a symmetrical motif consisting of parallel bands, one of flowers and the other drawings with a fringe of yellow trimmings on three sides composed of a wide band with fringes that measures 7cm tall.
The bedspread is 257 cm wide without fringe and 210 cm long and completely covers the bed at the sides, reaching down to the floor. With the fringe it measures 265 cm by 217 cm.
It's all embroidery. And the different ways from the usual ones attribute its value. The design continues on the lower part up to the fringe. it's all hand embroidery and you can see it from the inside which is not printed. Hand embroidery from times gone by. It is rare to find bedspreads of this kind and also of this color because they are generally all embroidered in red, pink, gold, bordeux or multicolored colours, but it is rare to find this symmetry of embroidery.
The period is the very early 1900s.
My family has always looked for particular objects and the trousseau, given the large number of children of my great-great-grandparents, has always been important and made as a dowry for each one. Given the quantity inherited, I am selling many to avoid keeping them in a closet, so that they continue to be used.
It is a color that can easily be combined with the colors and fabrics of a home. With a classic or modern decor.
I wrote excellent condition because, even if it is old, it has no stains on the chest and the fringe is perfect. The measurements are impressive and the fringe reaches almost to the floor on the sides, this is because the beds in ancient times were high. The silk is in excellent condition, considering that it is an object that is almost a century and a half old.
It has always been used with the utmost care and attention and washed in the laundry. I have kept it together with the others just as I found them at home.
As with all the objects I have, I always have them fixed or restored, keeping them in good condition so that I can use them if necessary.
I wish anyone who buys it to beautify their room, giving a tone to their bed.
It can also be used as a sofa cover or even as a tablecloth with a white embroidered one on top, being long you can see that it is all embroidered up to the fringe. Certain objects acquire more charm over the years because they are proof of true authenticity. Photos speak louder than words.
To ship I use private couriers and not the Italian Post Office so that the item has double packaging, arrives sooner and communication is simpler.
