Lincoln - Premiere 2dr HT coupé - 1956

Up for auction is this beautifull Lincoln Premiere 1956 Hardtop Coupé. If you want something special this is it! The car has never been torn down for complete restauration. There is a rich history with 25 years of paperwork with it. It's an original Arizona car and its very solid. No repairs needed on body nor undercarriage. The car was shipped to Norway in 1987. The chairman of the Lincoln Club in Norway had it for many years and it was well maintained. The engine (368cu. 285hp) was completely rebuilt in 2002. It has only about 5000 miles on it since and it runs very smooth and quiet. The transmission was also rebuilt in this era. All of this is documented in the paperwork. In the same year the Lincoln was repainted in its original colour: desert buff. The roof was painted in cream wich was original desert buff too. The paint is very nice and the body is very straight. No scratches, chips, dents (not even little) or rustbubbles anywhere! Not an american paint job on this one! The interior is in good condition. No rips or tears in the benches wich have been redone at some time. Slight wear on the driverside of the bench but still looks representative. The driverside doorpanel has a loose stich right below the armrest. The headliner and dash are very nice. The plastic shield of the cluster has some cracks due to age. The carpet set is new but it doesn't fit really tight around the front tunnel. All the glass is near perfect. The chrome is very nice without major rust scratches and dents. The stainless steel surround is in very good shape too. (Very expensive to buy) . The door handles and the outside mirror and the front windshield moldings (lower corners) show a little pitting since this car was never restored! But everything shines. All of this you can see in the pictures. In 2018 I put new parts on the Lincoln: New front springs and shocks. New brake shoes wheel cilinders and brake hoses. New front wheel bearings. New starter relay. Rebuilt original Holley teapot carburator. Always starts right up and never stalls. The white wall tyres are in good shape. The car drives very well and has good power since the engine was rebuild. No clicks no clacks and no oil burning. The ignition points were changed for a magnetic pulse unit to improve the reliability of the ignition system. New cap rotor and plugwires. We made a road trip to Sweden with it this year! Feel free to ask for more information. Many more pictures available. Videos available too! The car is located in Workum, Netherlands.
