A large Lineol and Elastolin Wehrmacht Red Cross field hospital diorama presents a detailed WWII MASH-style medical encampment built on a painted wood platform base measuring approximately 22" W x 20" D. The centerpiece is a large military field hospital canvas tent measuring approximately 11.75" W x 10.75" D x 7.75" H, finished in a standard pre-war three-color splinter camouflage pattern with two prominent Genevan Red Cross insignia discs affixed to the roof canopy. The tent includes removable wood panels for the sides and front, with six camouflage-pattern wall inserts featuring cutout grid windows, along with a fully rigged cordage system with tension sliders. A tall courtyard telephone or telegraph pole is also included. Inside, the wooden framework is fitted with a hanging light bulb fixture; the light was not tested during cataloging. The medical interior includes two tiered bunk beds, two faux storage cabinets or supply cupboards, and a bench, creating a complete field hospital setup.
