With some light wear and short closed tears to extremities, small paper loss to upper left corner. First published in "The Examiner" in London the month prior, Tennyson's poem recounts a failed military action in which British light cavalry stormed heavily armed Russian troops during the Battle of Balaklava in the Crimean War.
