M. Lustrac posted an advertisement for French language lessons for young gentlemen in the Leeds Intelligencer, 8 January 1810. The Hull Packet newspaper, 31 October 1809 mentions the following... ‘Leeds... the Scholars of Mr. Richard Kemplay’s Academy, wearing cockades of Royal purple, with Jubilee medals pendant on their breasts...’
