[ translate ]

Rare art nouveau vase from the world famous 'Phänomen series' by Loetz (Witwe) . Probably designed around 1900 by Franz Hofstötter (aka Franz Hofstätter) . The elegantly designed vase is made of overlay glass and decorated with an iridescent effect. When the light falls on it, it creates a beautiful mother-of-pearl effect. The vase is not marked, approx. 30 cm high and has a diameter of approx. 20 cm. The pontil mark has been ground away. Condition: good to very good. Some light scratches/stains on the outside and there are some felt residues on the bottom of the vase. These have not been removed to prevent possible damage. This rare vase comes from the property of a Dutch aristocratic family.

The period between 1897 and 1905 was the most important period in the history of the Loetz company, artistically and financially. With its typical Art Nouveau vases with iridescent glass, often designed by well-known artists such as Marie Kirschner and Franz Hofstötter, the company won a Grand Prix at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900.

This lot will be excellently packaged and shipped insured, with track & trace, within 3 days after payment.
