Long Halachic Response by Rabbi Avraham Gershon Goldberg, Grandson of the Admor of Liska and Author of Nachalas Gershuni

Handwritten letter of Torah novella from Rabbi Avraham Gershon Goldberg, Av Beis Din of Tiszabercel and author of Nachalas Gershuni, addressed to Rabbi Yoel Tzvi Roth of Chust, author of Avnei Beis HaYotzer.(see lot 88)
The letter begins with words of friendship and includes Rabbi Avraham's signature as well.
Dated Brezhna, 1883, the letter was written during the period that Rabbi Avraham Gershon resided by his father-in-law, Rabbi Akiva Nechemya Handler, Av Beis Din of Brezhna.
There is a personal letter to Rabbi Yitzchak Frankel along with an additional signature in the letter's margins.

Rabbi Avraham Gershon Goldberger (1870 - 1936) was the son of Rabbi Yozefa Goldberg, son-in-law of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska. He grew up under the tutelage of his illustrious grandfather, serving him and sleeping with him in his room and merited an exceptionally close bond with him. Later, he became a disciple of the Yitav Lev and was close to the Admor of Shinowa as well. Rabbi Avraham Gershon held back-and-forth Torah discussions with the leading Halachic authorities of Hungary and served as the Av Beis Din of Berczel until his eventual passing in 1936. He was succeeded by his son-in-law, Rabbi Ezra HaCohen Fried, son of the Pnei Meivin (see lot 96). .
