B. Longacre. 5 1/2" X 9" each. * heavy foxing to margins due to age, as seen in photos. George Wythe ( 1726-1806 ) was the first American law professor, a noted classics scholar, & a Virginia judge. The first of the seven Virginia signatories of the United States Declaration of Independence, Wythe served as one of Virginia's representatives to the Continental Congress and the Philadelphia Convention. Richard Henry Lee ( 1732 - 1794 ) was an American statesman & Founding Father from Virginia best known for the June 1776 Lee Resolution, the motion in the Second Continental Congress calling for the colonies' independence from Great Britain leading to the United States Declaration of Independence, which he signed.
