Longquan Celadon Pottery Tripod Censer

Song Dynasty (960-1279)

Circular, the 18th Century pierced hardwood cover fitted with an archaic style beaded knop handle, the body of the censer incised with flowers, on three lion mask feet.

H. 5 in., D. 12 7/8 in.

Condition: The cover has a small 1 in x 1/2 in. patch repair on the rim, a very old firing crack on the bowl from the rim running 8 1/2 in., to the center of the bowl, several imperfections in the glaze from firing process, slight warp to cover.
