signed L. Valles (lower left)
oil on panel
panel: 12 1/2 by 17 7/8 in.; 31.7 by 45.4 cm
framed: 20 5/8 by 26 in.; 52.3 by 66 cm

Condition Report:
The panel is in good condition. Three tiny spots of paint loss below the central seated figure's foot; minor frame abrasion to the left and right edges with small associated loss at the lower right corner. Small vertical surface scratch measuring approximately 1 inch by the basket of flowers. Under UV light, small line of inpainting above the lower edge to the foreground; area of retouching at the left edge; some scattered retouching above the seated figure with a fan and above the shoulder of the flower girl, to the left of the mirror, and in the upper right corner; one or two areas of retouching elsewhere under an opaque layer of varnish that fluoresces green. None of these detract from the overall impression.
