Losso - Togo (No Reserve Price)

A Losso couple from Togo. The figures are anthropormorphic, not quite fully human, Both figures identical only differentiated by the carvings of the genitalia which signify that one is a male and the other female. The wooden figures stand on a rectangular platform, have stout stubs for legs, a cylindrical torso with slight bumps indicating a navel and nipples. Both necks are extra thick and the heads are squashed round with thick lips and gouges for eyes. Both statues have minor cracks and signs of use. Certificate of authenticity and provenance.
