11¼ in. (28.5 cm) width of shade

Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. This well-known model by Jean-Michel Frank makes elegant use of shagreen, which fully coats the rectangular body of the lamp. The shagreen presents with light surface abrasions throughout and some light darkening to the recessed area consistent with age and gentle handling and not visually distracting. The four bottom corners of the bloc with some loss to the shagreen especially pronounced on one corner consistent with gentle use. The ivorine appears stable with very minor browning to one corner, not visually distracting. The body of the lamp with very minor surface irregularities and some light bending to the shagreen surface on one side. The brass elements constituting the socket present with with some light oxidation and corrosion to the surface consistent with age and not visible when the shade is installed. The fabric shade has been sensitively replaced and is in excellent condition.
