Lot details A pair of Chinese bamboo calligraphic couplet panels, early 20th century Each formed from a long section of bamboo, decorated with five vertically arranged Chinese characters highlighted in black, reading 福乃人之寶，民以德為尊 (Blessings are the treasures of mankind; virtue is held in the highest esteem). The upper ends fitted with pierced geometric wooden hanging mounts. Each 137 cm long. 二十世紀早期 中國竹製書法對聯一副 「福乃人之寶，民以德為尊」Condition Report Generally in good condition, with age-related surface wear and natural discolouration 整體品相良好，竹材表面有歲月磨損及自然變色。 Condition reports must be considered as a matter of opinion and not fact.
