Dickens, Charles, The Old Curiosity Shop, illustrated by Frank Reynolds, this book given as a gift to Mrs Walker of London House, 23 Ipswich Street, Stowmarket, the opening page hand written "To Mrs Walker, with best wishes February 1916 from the boys of th 2/6th City of London Rifles with pleasant recollections of the happy times spent at London House Stowmarket" with various signatures of the soldiers to include Frederick H. Thorndyke whose hand the dedication appears to have been written in. Sold with a copy of The Cast Iron Sixth by Captain E.G. Godfrey MC. (2)
