Lot details Two large Chinese red lacquered leather boxes, Qing Dynasty, circa 1900 Each of rectangular form, constructed with a leather-covered body and finished in red lacquer, decorated in relief with pairs of phoenixes amongst scrolling floral branches and peony blossoms. The hinged covers are fitted with metal locking clasps, with carrying handles to the sides. Each measuring approximately 78 × 53 × 23 cm. 清代 約1900年 中國紅漆皮革鳳凰牡丹紋大箱兩件Condition Report Both with age-related wear, surface scratches and areas of lacquer loss, particularly around the edges and corners. Some wear and deterioration to the leather covering, with oxidation to the metal fittings. Overall in fair condition, commensurate with age and use. 兩件均有歲月使用痕跡、表面劃痕及局部漆面剝落，尤以邊角處較為明顯。皮革包覆層有局部磨損及老化，金屬配件可見氧化。整體品相尚可，符合年代及使用情況。 Condition reports must be considered as a matter of opinion and not fact.
