Lot of 2: Open Mouth Jumeaux Dolls.

Lot consists of: The larger of the two dolls, 17-1/2" (45cm), has an unmarked head, but nice gray-blue paperweight eyes, thick multi-stroke lashes, an open mouth with six upper teeth, multiple tiny stroke eyelashes, and pierced ears. She is on a fully articulated French wood and composition body, with an oval paper label on the back torso reading "BEBE JUMEAU DIPLOME D'HONNEUR". The finish on the body is original with some typical paint flaking and chipping. The wig is a nice human hair replacement. The dress is antique but melting; the shoes are of old white leather. The smaller doll is 14" (35cm) and is incised on the back of head "1907 4". She has an open mouth with four upper teeth, blue glass sleep eyes, well painted lashes and brows, and is on the original fully jointed wood and composition body, with a label similar to that of the larger doll in this lot. She has what appears to be an original light honey colored human hair wig with center part, set over a hard composition pate. She wears white leather shoes that are certainly of the period, and could be original. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: Largest: 18" x 6" x 4".
