Lot of 2 Rare Copper Back Hanukkah Menorahs made by Maskit, Israel, circa 1950s-60s, back designed in the shape of a bow, decorations of olive leaves along the hem, in the center: one is decorated with the symbol of The State of Israel: The Temple Menorah and two olive branches, on their front an embossed inscription 'These Candles Are Holy", the candle vessels are designed in the shape of bullet cases. One of the Hanukkah Menorahs (with the oil jug) is signed, there may have been a pair of small back legs to each of the Hanukkah Menorahs, width: 19.5 cm, height: 12 cm. No Hanukkah Menorahs made by Maskit were ever seen in public auctions in Israel! * Maskit was a governmental company for manufacturing and marketing of local crafts in the fields of textile, silverware and Olive Tree craftings, was active in Israel between 1954-1994. The company products were manufactured by artisans of the mass immigration. Maskit products served as official State of Israel presents given to diplomats and heads of state.
