Lot of 2 Roman Pottery Pipe Segments

**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A pair of red ceramic pipe segments with calcification on their surfaces and tapered tips for insertion into the next pipe segment in the length of the pipe. Similar in form to those found at Ephesus, these sections are a reminder of how incredible Roman infrastructure was. Size of one (they are near identical): 3.15" W x 11.05" H (8 cm x 28.1 cm)

Provenance: private J.H. collection, Beaverton, Oregon, USA, acquired in 2014 to 2015; ex-private Tel Aviv, Israel collection
