Lot of 3 Neolithic North African Stone Lip Plugs

Northern Africa, Sahara Desert, Neolithic, ca. 10,000 to 6,400 BCE. An intriguing set of carved stone lip adornments, each with a flat base, arched top, and drastically sloping sides. Two exhibit an opaque surface with mottled natural hues of grey, brown, and tan, while the other appears translucent in a lustrous shade of light pink. All three feature silky smooth surfaces. Three astonishing ancient artifacts that grant a humbling perspective on our own place in history. Size of largest: 0.75" L x 0.5" W x 0.25" H (1.9 cm x 1.3 cm x 0.6 cm)
