[ translate ]

Northern Europe, British Iron Age, ca. 1st millennium BCE. A group of three axe heads, one bronze and two iron, as well as a twisted bronze wire bracelet. All of these items are small, with the axe heads likely being votive rather than functional based on their diminutive sizes; the bracelet, meanwhile, was probably for a small woman or child. All displayed nicely together on a custom stand. Size of largest axe: 4.8" W x 1.8" H (12.2 cm x 4.6 cm); 7.45" H (18.9 cm) on included custom stand. Size of bracelet: 2.25" W (5.7 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Green collection, York, United Kingdom, acquired in United Kingdom

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.

A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids.

We ship worldwide to most countries and handle all shipping in-house for your convenience.

#137591
