Lot of 4 Dong Son Bronze Pieces - Spearhead & Bracelets

Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE. A fine group of bronze pieces from the Dong Son culture of ancient Vietnam. First is a pair of spiraling wire bracelets that were perhaps made for a child. Second is a tinned bronze bangle of a broad form with zigzagging linear motifs along the exterior surfaces. The largest is a copper spearhead with a petaloid blade and a squat socketing shaft. Size of largest (spearhead): 1.75" W x 4.9" H (4.4 cm x 12.4 cm)

Provenance: private Rochester, Michigan, USA collection

Condition Report: All pieces have extensive encrustations and nicks to peripheries, with chipping to socketing shaft of spearhead and terminals of petite bracelets, otherwise intact and very good. Nice patina and earthen deposits throughout.
