Lot of 7 Egyptian Faience, Stone Amulets + Bes Mold

**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1076 to 332 BCE. A fine gathering of seven stone and faience items including five scarabs, a pottery mold, and a faience figurative amulet. Three stone scarabs feature incised hieroglyphic symbols on their undersides. One turquoise-glazed faience scaraboid has a rounded top and several hieroglyphs beneath. A faience amulet in the form of a rabbit features a zoomorphic hieroglyph on the underside. A pottery mold is meant to create faience amulets of the dwarf deity Bes. A standing pendant of the goddess Tawaret (also Tauret) is glazed in turquoise on the top half. Size of largest (Tawaret): 2.4" H (6.1 cm).

Provenance: Estate of R. Pearson, Denver, Colorado, USA; Mr. Pearson collected from the third quarter of the 20th century until he passed away., acquired in 2015 at Arte Primitivo Gallery, New York, New York, USA

Condition Report: Tawaret pendant is repaired from two halves, with chips along break lines, and fading to glaze on lower half of body; remaining six items are intact. All items have minor abrasions, softening to some finer details, and light encrustations. Nice earthen deposits throughout, and great traces of original glaze where applicable.
