Lot of Joe De Yong items related to Will Rogers’ horse, Bootlegger, with whom Joe clearly had a special bond. Included is a signed 8" x 10" framed photo of Joe roping on Bootlegger, with inscription at bottom in Joe’s hand: "Bootlegger" at 22 - Still a .45 calibre Horse - Joe De Yong" Additional black and white photos also included. Gear includes two (2) equestrian knee protectors used by Will Rogers and De Yong while riding Bootlegger; one inscribed in pen on the face by Joe.
