Lot of Two Soviet Cold War Polish MN-111/0 Air-Drop Anti-Tank Landmines Inert
Late Cold War Soviet-issued Polish MN-111/0 air-drop anti-tank landmine, inert and intended for training or display purposes. Designed to be deployed from aircraft, the mine features spring-loaded fins that extend outward during descent, functioning as a drag parachute to slow its rate of descent. As the mine descends, a wind vane rotates and generates the power necessary to arm the mine. Upon landing, the mine's magnetic influence fuse was designed to detect the magnetic field of an armored vehicle and initiate the mine. An unusual example of Cold War-era military ordnance. Excellent display or museum piece. Pick-up recommended.
