Lotus - Europa - 1969

Lotus Europa S2 1969 production very rare version with 1470cc engine, sold under the rare Europe badge only build for Switzerland and Italy this car left the dealership and was delivered to Switzerland in april 1970 In 1976 after only 6 years of use and with only 36. 000 KM on the clock it was placed in storage by the owner where it stayed until December of 2019 when I bought this car for my father witch he dream about since very young ,the car was in original condition wich is very rare to find on an Europa! I decided to give it a full nut and bolt restoration ,everything on this car was change with only original parts,most of them NOS(New Old Stock) . No expenses or work was spared on this car in the year that falowed, chassis and everything else was powder blasted and painted electrostatic, the total investment on this car was around 68. 000€ witch can be proven with invoices,bills,etc. . Unfortunately my father witch was sick at that time never got to see the car as he passed away just one month before the car was ready (June 2020) because of Coronavirus complications The car was never registered permanently in Romania so it still keeps its Swiss documents,All custom and import dutys are paid The car now has temporary romanian numbers so it could be test driven after the restoration witch ended last month! There are to many new parts to list but most of the parts can been seen in the pictures! Everything is pretty much new starting with: Engine liners,clutch,gaskets, seals ,brakes,carpets,maths,fuel pump,oil,water pump,ending with the interior bits,chrome ornaments,ashtray,brakes,roofline,console,etc etc. . just to many to enumerate New Cooper hinges for the doors that alow adjustment and also removal of the doors easy This car now has become a sad memory for us and we would like to find it a new house with somebody that will apreciate her just like my dad would of! The bumpers,seats and dash are in there original state witch is amazing for its age!
