Louis Alexandre Cabié was a landscape painter who was born in Dol (Il-et Viliane) on May 25, 1853. Cabié was a pupil of Harpignies and Pradelles. He debuted at the Salon in 1887 and won numerous medals and made Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur.
