The Topan pendant is a timeless classic designed by Verner Panton. The lamp is the first by Verner Panton to be mass produced and was later followed by the Flowerpot lamp. The lamp is still popular because of its simple and beautiful appearance. The pendant was designed for the Astoria in Trondhjem, Norway, in 1960, where Verner Panton used the pendant to divide larger areas into smaller and more cozy zones, both in the hotel and the restaurant. The lamp is therefore well suited to many different rooms, especially where you want to create a more cozy atmosphere.

Height: 19 cm
Diameter: 21 cm.
this is the old edition from louis poulsen. the lamps are bleached and have scratches and a few very small dents. See pictures.
Sent without bulb.
The lamps is packed well with track and trace.

Verner Panton (born 13 February 1926 in Gamtofte, Funen, died 5 September 1998 in Copenhagen) was a Danish designer and one of the most trend-setting designers in 1960s Europe.
His main efforts were in the field of furniture, lighting and room design, where he experimented with new shapes and strong colors and utilizing the latest new materials and production methods. Steel, plastic, and fiberglass were some of his favorite materials.
