For its new collaboration, Louis Vuitton called on a
major figure of contemporary art, the New York artist Jeff
Koons. The masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rubens or
still Fragonard have been adapted on the pieces that make up
this new collection of bags and accessories, entitled
The Da Vinci Collection.

After collaborating with Takashi Murakami, Stephen Sprouse or
again Olafur Eliasson Louis Vuitton chose Jeff Koons
to imagine a new collection. Famous for his works
monumental in metal, the artist transposes paintings of
masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Van Gogh or
Rubens, this time on bags and accessories. In
choosing works that are part of memory
collective, the Masters series invites the public to wear a
new look at the great painters by bringing them out
museums.

Jeff Koons reinterprets the iconic Monogram in detail
metallized, affixed to the exterior of the bag and surmounting the
signature of the artist, a first for the Maison. Each
creation is decorated with a bag accessory representing the
Rabbit, famous work of the contemporary artist, while
The interior contains a biography and a portrait of the painter.

To adapt to perfection the works on the accessories
and canvases of Speedy, Keepal or Neverfull, Louis Vuitton bags
has pushed the limits of its know-how and developed
new technics. This collaboration is a first step
and other chapters will be part of this project aiming
to celebrate the multiple links of the Maison with history
art
