early 20th century, the serpentine crest surmounted by a floral-spray carving at each end, over a conforming caned back, joined to the like seat by carved scrolling arms, over a ribbon- and floral-carved apron, raised on turned tapering circular legs headed by a block-patera carving and ending in toupie feet, fitted with an Aubusson-style cushion.

Condition Report: In very good overall condition, with normal minor rubbing, shrinkage and wear. The gilt exhibits areas of re-touching. Legs are tight and securely affixed. The arms and back do not exhibit any movement. Caning is tight with no tears or breaks. The needlepoint upholstery exhibits wear and a couple minor, light stains. The silk underside exhibits some more notable stains.
