Lovely Pair of 20th C. Cambodian Bronze Candlesticks

Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A wonderful set of cast-bronze Khmer candlesticks with each figure displaying a serene facial expression, tightly-curled hair nodes, meditative eyes, full lips, and prominent noses. The figures are in kneeling, praying positions with both hands held together in front of their black-painted bodies, each situated atop an integral rectangular platform with large, projecting lotus-style candle-holders. A lovely ensemble! Size of each: 1.5" W x 6.125" H (3.8 cm x 15.6 cm).
