Lovely necklace of Egyptian faience & carnelian beads

A lovely necklace comprised of Egyptian faience and carnelian beads. The beads include lovely translucent carnelian examples, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, both elongated and rounded as well as faience disc and tube beads from the Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, with a nice light blue color. L: 16 in (40.6 cm). The beads have been strung with antique brass elements into a lovely wearable piece of jewelry. Ex estate of Maria (Lila) Decatur Mayo Deyo Garnett, niece of Ruth Deyo; Ex collection of Ruth Deyo, acquired early-mid 1900's. Mrs. Deyo was a world-renowned musician and personality, well-known for her appreciation of Egyptian culture.
