呂壽琨 東普陀講寺

款識：玄圓護法荃灣上，如來淨悟白雲中。一九六七年歲次丁未五月騷動悶熱，與中大校外課程同學遊東普陀後習作。呂壽琨誌。
鈐印：「譽虎」、「呂壽琨印」、「自誠明」。
註：上世紀二十年代末，茂峰法師來港弘揚佛法，遊荃灣千石山，見景物與普陀山相似，遂仿照杭州普陀寺，在此築「東普陀講寺」。寺院規模漸備，且交通便利，吸引畫家文士如楊千里、張一麐、胡藻斌等來遊，蔚為勝地。一九六七年，呂壽琨任教中文大學校外進修部水墨畫課程，時值「五月騷動」，即香港動亂肇始，卻未礙其携學生出遊。畫中寺院，車水馬龍，遊人絡繹不絕，氣氛熱鬧，似未受時局影響。
