Lucia Pescador - Normali Meraviglie - Sculpture, Table - Pescador

[ translate ]

This work is part of the social design project "Normali Meraviglie", an initiative promoted by the Sacra Famiglia Foundation to protect and enhance the concept of fragility, strongly linked to their guests, in collaboration with the Tam Tam association, a school of visual activities founded by A. Guerriero (director) , A. Mendini, R. Dalisi, G. Ghidelli. The work is described as follows: A series of tables designed by women: Lucia Pescador, Terri Pecora, Guda Koster, Donia Maaoui, Nathalie du Pasquier, Denise Bonapace. The project is a challenge to classic design, mostly made by men designers who based their paths and destiny on the creation of an empty and cold industrial living space. Women, instead, have twisted, shattered, attenuated, decorated, softened and regenerated that same space to introduce different truths, presences, labyrinths of life and death. Precisely like in these tables. Lucia Pescador was born in Voghera and works in Milan, where she graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She is an artist of remarkable suggestions who proposes her installations as random combinations of multiple techniques, drawing, painting, ceramics. He has exhibited in private galleries, fairs and museums since 1965 with group exhibitions and about 80 personal exhibitions in Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Austria, England, Germany, the United States, Egypt, India and China. Among her most famous projects, we find the "Inventario di fine secolo con la mano sinistra", an inventory proceeding by themes formed by pairs of images from the culture of our century, performed on papers used with the left hand; "Crucivia", aggregations of drawings and objects where the items in the Inventory form choral compositions; "Wundermachtkammer", a lost dream, exhibited for the first time in 2010 at Palazzo Te, in Mantua. Generosity is what brought to life the entire project; the generosity of the artists who share their creativity, of those who passionately coordinate the workshop activities, and of those who will purchase the works. Part of the proceeds from the purchase of these works will go to the Foundation Sacra Famiglia for the development and support of their workshop activities. NB: This unique piece is currently on display/exhibition. After the payment has cleared, it will take 10/15 days for dismantling the exhibition + creating decorative and protective packaging in Boolean subtraction nesting + shipping.
