Lucian Freud, 1922-2011. The dj blurb refers to the poetry as "simple, spontaneous, lyrical, fantastic, satiric,...showing a well-developed social sense and a knowledge of contemporary affairs," adding that the "drawings , in the same mood, are by the young painter, Lucian Freud." "I just used to read them and look for words I liked. Animals and so on. Definitely done for the money: I got l40 in cash." All the same, this work stands as the first book fully illustrated by Freud. "I designed it all: the jacket and the binding yellow and black on the front black and yellow in reverse on the back."
