Biography: Lucien Fontanarosa, born December 6, 1912 in Paris and died November 24, 1975 in the same city, was a French painter, illustrator and decorator. Known for his figurative and colorful style, he often depicted scenes of daily life, landscapes and portraits. Fontanarosa was also a member of the Academy of Fine Arts and left a body of work appreciated for its sensitivity and humanism.
