Lucite Table Lamp w/ Venus Comb Murex

A mid-century modern style table lamp featuring a cylindrical body composed of clear cast resin. A natural specimen of a Venus Comb Murex (Murex pecten) seashell is suspended within the clear upper section, positioned above a translucent amber-colored resin base. The lamp is fitted with brass-toned metal hardware, including a central neck and a socket with a turn-knob switch. A clear plastic-coated electrical cord leads to a two-prong non-polarized plug. The metal socket is stamped with the characters EAGLE, MADE IN U.S.A., 250W 250V, and a circular UL Underwriters Laboratories logo. The installed light bulb is marked PHILIPS 120V 60W.
