Luke Adam Hawker

[ translate ]

This drawing of London's Tate Modern was completed in one continuous five hour sitting by the artist.

London-based artist Luke Adam Hawker, specialises in drawing on location. Working in pen and ink, he spends hours and sometimes days observing his subject to capture the nuances of design, motion and the dynamism of the scene.

After witnessing where the frenetic energy of human activity breathes life into the surrounding architecture, Luke patiently translates this to paper. By combining his architectural draftsmanship with a curious, spontaneous line, the artist is able to capture the essence of the landscape and our position within it.

This subject has proved very popular, the print edition of this work sold out quickly. This is a rare chance to own the original work.

Luke is also including a print, The National Theatre, in the auction.
