Playing Luke Skywalker turned out to be not only a blessing, yet also a curse. In 1984 - to mentioned one example - Mark Hamill was close to getting the role as Mozart in the feature attraction “Amadeus”, but was eventually rejected in favour of Tom Hulce by one of the producers, who stated that he did not want a Luke Skywalker on the cast list!
