The white border of octagonal blossoms is surrounded by an outer border of reciprocal trefoils. The ribbon-like design of tiny diamonds aligned in a row seen in the flatwoven finishes at the upper and lower ends is a reliable identifying feature of Varamin pieces. The kilim back shows horizontal stripes; remains of the closure band survive at the top. – Slight signs of wear, damage to the lower corners, good overall condition.
