Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 600 BCE. A cast-bronze cloak pin of slender form bearing an openwork lozenge-shaped finial on top. Above the finial is a solid button handle used to easily maneuver the pin within the thick folds of one's cloak. Size: 7.4" L x 0.625" W x 0.6" H (18.8 cm x 1.6 cm x 1.5 cm)

Provenance: private Constance McCormick Fearing estate, Montecito, California, USA, acquired before 2004
