Luristan Bronze Dagger w/ Lovely Patina
Ancient Near East, modern day Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 700 BCE. A fine example of a bronze dagger cast via the lost wax process with a narrow handle designed to have an inlaid panel of wood, stone, or ivory. This is a classic example of a fine weapon made to be buried with one of the nomad warriors of this region, preserved in such a way as to remind us of how these weapons looked when first made. Size: 0.9" W x 1.1" H (2.3 cm x 2.8 cm)
