Emperor Charles V paid Jacques Surhon 500 Livres for drawing a map of Luxembourg in 1551: however it was not published until 1579, when Antwerp had enough political freedom so that Ortelius could issue it. This map first appeared in the Additamentum of 1579; the text of this example matches that edition, but the original pagination '18a' has been erased and the pagination of the full Theatrum of that year, '26', written over the erasure in ink.
