Luxury Agate Geode (Joud) Sculpture — "Egg" Cave Form
A natural, whole agate geode (joud) rock, worked, polished, and shaped into a smooth oval form reminiscent of an egg or a distinctive crystal nodule. Presumably Brazil.
At the front, a natural "cave opening" reveals a deep, dark, and mysterious core.
The interior of the cave is entirely covered by a dense colony of minute druzy quartz crystals that sparkle like a star-strewn night sky. Layers of smoky gray-blue, white, and columnar strata with a natural polarization effect, with ultra-high polish imparting a glass-smooth touch to the rock and accentuating the depth of the layers.
