Luxury Karpov Signed Chess Set Lot: Boxwood and Walnut

Luxury wood board of boxwood and walnut designed by Seven-time World Chess Champion Anatoly Karpov. The design includes weighted carved wood pieces with rounded bases that glide smoothly over a beautiful satin finish board. The board itself sits 2.75 inches high and hinges open to reveal a deep crimson velvet case with individual hollows to secure each piece. The Russian language certificate of authenticity is signed in blue ink A Karpov ( verified authentic live ink signature), the design is referred to as the Invincible by Anatoly Karpov. COA Registration # 0- 185 with Holographic seal. In addition to this luxury set is a signed and inscribed softcover glossy book titled; Anatoly Karpov 50, published in 2001 for the anniversary of Karov s 50th birthday celebrated at the Bolshoi Theatre. Text in Russian ( with some English captions under photos). Both book and dust jacket are in pristine condition. The signature and personal inscription translate to : Thanks for a hundred memories, Karpov 20-12-2006 ( December 20th, 2006).
