Stratford, Ontario. 1877-1884. Salt-glazed stoneware. Martin C. Carey established his business in 1877 and continued until 1884. He was noted in directories as operating The Great Eastern Tea Store located on Ontario Street offering groceries, wines/liquors, china, crockery, and glassware. Stamped, "The Red Brand / M.C. Carey ,&, Co / Stratford Ont". 9" x 4.75" Dia. From the Late Mike O'Hara Collection.
Condition Report: Minor chips on base and spout. Otherwise excellent.
